Some of you might think that I'm too young to remember the Barry Manilow hit from 1978, but nothing could be farther from the truth. From the moment I landed in beautiful Rio, I couldn't get the song out of my head. "Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl..."
After landing, I headed out on a sightseeing tour where I got to see the famous Copacabana beach, hike to the top of Corcovado Mountain, and enjoy some beach time, all after feasting on a delicious Brazilian BBQ. Trust me, when you run at speeds like I do, you really work up an appetite.
Here I am at Pepino Beach. While I deliver up to a 2x performance increase on today's hottest titles, swimming is not my forte. I did enjoy watching the many hang-gliders land on the beautiful white sand while my friends swam.
CPL Brazil, Day 2: This is the Life
After a day of sightseeing yesterday around the incredible city of Rio de Janeiro, I got up this morning and headed to the event. After battling my way through the crowd waiting for the doors to open, I found my way to the NVIDIA booth. Similar to Spain, I arrived at the event to find a local SLI beauty front and center in the NVIDIA booth. I immediately stepped up to introduce myself to her. Not sure if I mentioned it already, but the women in Rio are beautiful, and this local honey was no exception...scantily clad in her clear chassis from UIC, I quickly forgot about what's her name from Spain. You know what they say, "What happens in Barcelona, stays in Barcelona" or is it "What happens in Vegas..."? Oh, who cares?! Whatever the saying, I've moved on. You should have seen her running Painkiller at blazing speeds on her big 30" BenQ monitor. I know I've said it before, but this time I really mean it. It's love. Man, this is a great gig...

CPL Brazil, Day 3: Everybody Wants a Piece of SLI
Well, I'm not sure that things are going to work out with me and my Brazilian SLI beauty. While we have a lot in common-nForce4 SLI motherboards, two GeForce 6800 GTs, and SLI-certification, of course-I've decided she just doesn't have time for me. All day, as I waited patiently to woo her with my best Portuguese, people were crowded around her, waiting for their turn to take her for a spin and experience the true power of SLI. Men, women, children, and even hotel security guards, hovered over her, ohhhhing and awing over amazing frame rates and outstanding image quality. This girl gets around! Oh well, if it wasn't meant to be with us, there's always Sweden...
