Full Name: Mark Plasters Game Handle: USFORCES Location: Rockford IL, USA
When most people think about putting their computer inside their desk, the only thought is whether or not there will be enough room for resting your feet underneath after you’re done. This month’s winner takes the idea to a whole new level. With some woodworking skill and a good plan, Mark has built this custom desk to not only house but show off his rig. As it turns out there’s even more goodness. Here’s what Mark had to say:
“I’m using five less fans now than when I was using a case after getting rid of 3 120mm and 2 80mm fans and the system actually runs cooler. The positive air pressure from 6 120mm fans, housed on two of the radiators, pump enough cool air that I don’t even need any fans on the motherboard radiator.”
Nice! Congrats to Mark on being this month’s Club SLI Rig of the Month winner!

What games are you playing and why?
I play a lot of BF2 and sometimes Crysis
What games are you looking forward to and why?
I’m looking forward to Battlefield Bad Company 2. I’m a big fan of the Battlefield series and this new game uses the frostbite engine and DX11.
What was the biggest challenge you faced when building your machine and how did you overcome it?
Making everything work out right and looking really nice.
When do you plan on building your next system and what are you plans for that system?
My next upgrade will consist of a couple of water cooled NVIDIA DX11 cards. I’m also waiting for the 32nm CPUs to come out.
Have you created your own smoking-fast SLI system? Have you pimped it out with the latest mods? Is EVERYTHING in your machine UV-reactive? Do you have seventeen 120mm fans adorning your dual-GPU benchmark-shattering monster of a machine? Do you have what it takes to make the "SLI Rig of the Month?”
Find out – submit your machine for a chance to win glory (and get featured on NVIDIA’s web site!).
To submit your SLI rig for consideration, send an email to us with the information below. You MUST have the phrase "SLI Rig of the Month" in the subject line of your email. Emails without this will not be considered.
