NVIDIA recently attended the Intel LAN Fest Desert Bash in Phoenix Arizona. This event attracted over 300 gamers including one of the top modders in the country, Dewayne Carel of Modders Inc. This 24hr frag fest was a good time to be had by all.
NVIDIA partnered with ASUS to be platinum sponsors of the event and as such we both provided plenty of shwag to be handed out. Attendees of the event had a chance to check out our 3D Vision technology while playing Call of Duty World at War zombie maps. We had a contest running during most of the event where at the end, whoever got the highest score playing the zombie map would win a 3D Vision Bundle (NVIDIA 3D Vision Glasses and Samsung LCD Monitor) valued at $500. Gamers also had a chance to win a ASUS gaming notebook while playing PhysX enabled maps in Unreal Tournament 3.
Club SLI members got a piece of the action as well. Any Club SLI member who brought their SLI rig to the event and then showed us their Club SLI member page was entered into a raffle for a 3D Vision Bundle. SLI users with their SLI rig who weren’t Club SLI members could sign up on the spot and still be entered into the raffle. In total we had 22 members of Club SLI represent!
